Hippo bags are fitted in toilet cisterns, significantly reducing water per flush.

We’ve eliminated single-use plastics, including disposable cups and bottled water in rooms. Guests are encouraged to refill water jugs available at the bar or in executive rooms.
Compostable takeaway cups and recyclable straws are used in our dining and bar areas.
Paperless receipts and digital invoicing are standard at reception.
All staff communications and documentation are handled digitally via the Alkimii portal.
Scrap paper and old menus are reused for internal notes.
Lost and found items unclaimed after a designated period are donated to local charity shops.
Grease traps in the kitchen capture residues, preventing water pollution and ensuring cleaner wastewater disposal.

We source over 70% of our ingredients from local suppliers, reducing our carbon footprint and supporting local businesses.
Surplus food from events is used for staff meals to minimise food waste.
We monitor stock levels closely to avoid over-ordering and wastage.
Our banqueting and event menus include vegan, and vegetarian options.

We offer an electric vehicle charging point onsite.
Public transport information is readily available, and we encourage guests to explore local walking routes.
6. Community & Environmental Initiatives
We collaborate with suppliers to reduce packaging waste and implement return schemes for packaging materials.
We support reforestation projects by planting native trees to offset carbon emissions.
We donate our used Candles to the Candle Co to be recycled with candles being remade from remaining wax.
